Description of the Company

The company has quarried Finnish granite since the 1960s, mainly in Southeast Finland. The company was known as Louhinta Tielinen Ky, until it changed its company form into a corporation in 1999, and adopted the new name LT Granit Oy.

LT Granit Oy has two granite quarries producing Baltic Brown in Ylämaa. A New Balmoral quarry is located in Valkeala, and Karelia Red is quarried in Virolahti. Virolahti and Valkeala are both in Southeast Finland. The company has also other quarry sites. A large part of the quarried raw material is exported to Italy, Spain, China and Poland.

LT Granit Oy works in close cooperation with Ylämaan Graniitti Oy.
